CubeeCraft

The assignment was to create one of your own characters or create a character that already has been made and turn it into a cubee figure. I chose the character Bubbles, from powerpuff girls because it was one of my favorite characters I liked when I was little. First, I sketched out the character on a blank piece of paper on how it would look like when it is folded into a box figure. Then, I used a template that was made from CubeeCraft and I filled in the empty white boxes by drawing the character face and body in there. After I was done drawing, I scanned it in onto the computer and worked on it in the program, PhotoShop. I used tools like the, polygonal lasso tool to help me delete the parts I didn't need, the paint brush tool and the paint bucket tool to add some color into my cubee and the text tool to type out my name. I thought the assignment was really fun and exciting to do because I got to create my favorite character and I could get the chance to fold my creation into a real cubee. I would really hope that I could do some of these later sometime and show others how to do and create this too.

Quote Design

The assignment was to research some quotes that describe you or pick some quotes that you really like. Type out the quote into InDesign and edit it in there and you could change up the words like, creating different colors on it, changing the font of it and also, the size of it. I chose this quote because I thought we really needed to have a better world to live in by, dreaming for it. We had to find a way using our own thoughts, on how we would change the words and make it look a little creative that people would like to read and it would catch their eye. I used the font tool to change the fonts of the words, the tools that make the words space out, make the words capital and make the words a little slanted to the side. I also used the color scale to change the colors of the words and point out to people which words were important. I thought that this assignment gave us the time to use tools in InDesign, and try to use our skills and knowledge on how to change up the quote we chose so, it would catch others eyes and they would want to read it because of the different fonts, colors and sizes the quote has. The words in the quote I changed up, would show others how to really understand the quote and how it could affect them and the world we are living in. Also, if I could change up this quote and try to make it look better, I would by, changing up some of the words and make it look amazing and I would try to add a colorful background to the back so, the quote wouldn't look so boring.

Logo Design

The assignment was to create your own logo that describes or represents about what you like, and who you are, from other logo designs from companies that might inspire you. The logo that inspired me was the, converse shoe logo. It inspired me to try and draw the circle shape around the common image that most people would memorize or remember. I made this logo because it helps others to know what describes me from the words I created around the circle. Also, the big A with the heart on the side, would show the first letter in my name so, people know this logo was for me and how I added a little heart design onto the side of it. The assignment was fun and exciting to do because we got to represent ourselves with a visual image, that could help others know it is about me and we also, got to put in different colors to go into our logo and I chose blue and pink to go with it. If I were to make another logo, I would have added two tribals on the top right and bottom left, to give my logo a creative touch and to show others I can create amazing things or images.

National Geographic Cover

This assignment is about making a creature of some kind and sharing it with others onto a National Geographic Cover. The way I made my creature is by researching some animals and the final ones I picked were a tiger, a panda, a pig and a cat. I used the tiger's body, the panda's head, the pig's ear and nose and the cat's eyes to construct it into one interesting creature. The tools I used were, the magnetic lasso tool and clone stamp tool. After I was done making my creature, I looked for a National Geographic Cover and used it to paste my creature onto it. I used the magic wand tool to select both the border and letters into another layer. I changed the color of the letters and copied the title one more time to make it look like the national geographic title was three dimensional. Next, I pasted my animal into the cover and used the polygonal lasso tool to make my creature look like it was coming out of the border and I lowered the opacity down. Lastly, I made a little description in the empty parts of the image and talked a little about my creature. In the bottom of the image, it is three articles that people may want to check out and the topics are related to my creature.

Propaganda Poster

The first thing I did to construct this poster was to take a photo. I copied it onto photoshop and cut the background part off, using the polygonal lasso tool which took some time to do because I didn't want anything to show off the back. I went to a website to pick colors to use for my poster and they were going to be used for my paper color (light), pattern color, light color, other color and dark color. Next, we got to make our own pattern like how other propaganda artist would do. We used the canvas size tool to cut off or crop out any extra things we didn't need for our poster. Then, we now made our background with our light color and other color. We used the canvas size tool again to create a small border around our image and filled it in with our paper color. Lastly, we did our final clean up to make our poster look smooth and we did that by using the eraser tool, polygonal lasso tool and the paint brush tool.

House Banner Poster

The assignment was to make a House Banner. I constructed this house banner in photoshop and used mostly the shape tool and filled in the shapes and background with colors. I used many shapes to represent what I like with colors. All I did was, pick and look at different shapes, and resized them to the way I wanted them. Then, I filled them in with  colors and made it show how people would normally see these images. I took both my favorite colors, blue and pink and set it as my background. Also, I felt satisfied with what I made.
